When considering having electrical installation work undertaken in your home and the work is subject to a building warrant you have a number of options available to you. One option is that you appoint an NICEIC Approved Certifier of Construction (ACC), to undertake the electrical work and issue a Certificate of Construction confirming compliance with building regulations. However, an equivalent option recognised by Local Authority verifiers is to appoint an NICEIC Approved Contractor and the verifier will accept the contractor’s BS7671 certificate as part of their verification processes.
